Hello everyone, we would like to give you a quick update on our plans to improve the playing surface at Callum Friel park.
After some difficult Winter weather, our pitch started the season in ok condition, but with some areas in need of some TLC. We had planned to make some improvements towards the end of September as the season was about to end, but after the lovely spell of warm, dry weather, our pitch isn’t in the condition we would like it to be.
Therefore, with some breaks upcoming in a few of the leagues we have decided to bring forward these pitch enhancements. Working with a local pitch specialist these improvements will take roughly 5-6 weeks.
In this time, our training pitch will still be in use, and where possible, we will look to bring forward our away fixtures (meaning more home games later in the season). So, whilst not ideal, and a bit of re-jigging required, all football will continue.
