*U12 Dunfanaghy Youths 3 - 2 Glenea*

Dunfanaghy left it late to secure victory against their near neighbours, Glenea, in a thrilling game of football at Callum Friel Park.

Dunfanaghy started the game well, and after dominating the opening exchanges, took the lead on 9 minutes when Cian Langan ran through and finished into the bottom corner.

Glenea equalised when a long diagonal ball was well controlled and finished inside the post.

The second half started of very even. A Glenea shot from the edge of the box took a wicked deflection and ended in the net to give them a 2-1 lead.

Dunfanaghy kept probing and went close on a number of occasions through Cian, Liam McFadden, and Odhran Sweeney. In the 57th minute, Cian was taken down in the box after a brilliant run. He dusted himself down and dispatched the penalty into the net to tie the match at 2-2.

Dunfanaghy sensed the victory and kept pressing. Seve Roarty went on one of his trademark lung busting runs and delivered a brilliant ball over the Glenea defence. Cian took it down and finished into the bottom corner to win the match 3-2 and secure his hat-trick.

Hard luck to Glenea, who contributed to a cracking game of football.

Thanks to Seimi Ferry, the match referee, on a very good game.

Dunfanaghy had excellent displays from Seve Roarty, Caolan Sweeney, Anthony Wilkinson, and the Player of the Match in Cian Langan.

The panel was: Rory Boyce, Seve Roarty, Oisin Sweeney (Captain), Caolan Sweeney, Oliver McFadden, Oisin Nelis, Anthony Wilkinson, Matthew McFadden, Cian Langan, Liam McFadden, Odhran Sweeney, Dylan Robinson, and Alfie Roarty.
