*U12s DYFC 2-1 Letterkenny Crusaders*

The Youths came out on top against Letterkenny Crusaders to win 2-1 last Thursday evening in Callum Friel Park.

The first 10 minutes of the match was very even between both sides. Dunfanaghy gradually got a strong foothold in the game and applied a lot of pressure. The pressure finally paid off when Cian Langan beat a few defenders to set up Matthew McFadden to score from close range in the 25th minute.

Dunfanaghy were now on top but couldn't get the second goal. A Letterkenny free kick into the box took a deflection and ended up in the Dunfanaghy net to level the match 1-1.

Dunfanaghy continued to make chances. When it looked like it wasn't going to be their day, their resilience paid off when Anthony Wilkinson played the ball to Cian, who split the defence with a brilliant pass to set up Liam McFadden. Liam looked up and placed the ball into the bottom corner to win the game with only a couple of minutes remaining.

The Youths had a good team performance with Anthony Wilkinson, the player of the match.

The full panel was Rory Boyce, Seve Roarty, Oisin Sweeney (captain), Caolan Sweeney, Alfie Roarty, Oisin Nelis, Anthony Wilkinson, Matthew McFadden and Cian Langan; Oliver McFadden, Liam McFadden, and Dylan Robinson.

Our next match is AWAY to Bonagee on Sunday, 09th June, at 10am.
